Michel Baga (born 1981) took piano lessons since age 5; started playing electric guitar at age 14 and bought “Axis:” by Jimi Hendrix. At 18 he enrolled for Composition classes at the conservatory of his hometown Varese. The breakthrough came in 2001, at age 20, when he moved to The Hague to study composition and sonology. He graduated in both by 2006————————————————————————————————————————————————– MB has collaborated with Israeli visual artist Yael Davids (“End on Mouth”, 2004/2005); with Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (“Dagboek van Schumann”, 2005); with Danceworks’ choreographer/dancer Lorand Zachar (“Transit”, 2007); with Pecs Ballet (“Unreachable Territories”, 2009)———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— MB is also working on his reputation as “honorary jazzman” on live electronics.
