חלק ב׳: אסטרטגיות אוצרותיות ואמנותיות בין החרם שבחוץ לחרם הפנימי

אייל דנון: לימינל ספייסז
לימינל ספייסז היה פרוייקט מחקר משותף, מיני תוכנית שהות אמן קולקטיבית, פלטפורמת הפקה, וסדרה של כנסים תלויי מקום שאורגנו בידי המרכז לאמנות דיגיטלית בחולון והאגודה לאמנות עכשווית פלסטינית לפני כמעט עשור. התפתחות הפרוייקט התרחשה במקביל להתארגנות החרם. דנון ידון בהקשר שעיצב את הפרוייקט ויגע בשאלה מדוע פרוייקט כזה לא יכול להתקיים היום. 

דנה יהלומי: סלונים: בירט׳רייט פלסטין?
תנועה ציבורית אירגנה סדרת סלונים בניו יורק ב-2011 סביב התופעה של תוכנית תגלית וזאת על מנת לשאול שאלות על לאום ומסורת וגם על היבטים פוליטיים של תיירות ומיתוג. יהלומי תספר איך היא בתור אמנית ישראלית עבדה תוך היצמדות לחוקי החרם על מנת לטפל בנושאים של זהות לאומית פלסטינית וישראלית. 

איתי מאוטנר: עונת התרבות בירושלים
עונת התרבות בירושלים הינו גוף עצמאי, בין תחומי, המבקש לספר את הסיפור המורכב של העיר דרך אמנות ותרבות. באמצעות מספר דוגמאות יבקש מאוטנר לבחון את מערכת היחסים המרובדת עם החרם במישור הבין לאומי ובמישור המקומי של מזרח ומערב העיר. 

שיר אלון: החרם האקדמי
אלון היא מתרגמת ערבית-עברית שכותבת דוקטורט על ספרות ערבית באוניברסיטת UCLA בקליפורניה. אלון תדבר על החרם האקדמי ומקומה כחוקרת יהודיה-ישראלית בדיונים סביבו.

Dalut Hacherem: The Cultural Boycott of Israel and What It Means for Israeli Contemporary Art

The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement is gaining momentum and with it the cultural boycott of Israel. What does this mean for cultural producers in Israel who believe in freedom of speech, but also in non-violent anti-occupation initiatives? A group of contemporary art curators has band together independently to organize a conference on the cultural boycott of Israel and its implications on contemporary art here.

Part I: Opening Lecture 

Opening Remarks: Omer Krieger
Lecture: Chen Tamir
Tamir will synthesize the major points of the cultural boycott and survey recent international examples of high-profile boycotts within the contemporary art world.

Part II: Artistic and Curatorial Strategies Between the Outer and Inner Boycott 

Eyal Danon: Liminal Spaces 
Liminal Spaces was a joint research project, a collective micro-residency and production platform, and a series of interventionist, site-specific conferences that was co-produced by the Israeli Center for Digital Art and the Palestinian Association for Contemporary Art almost a decade ago. Its evolution coincided with the birth of the BDS movement. Danon will discuss the context in which Liminal Spaces took shape and why such a project could not happen today. 

Dana Yahalomi: SALONS: Birthright Palestine
Public Movement created a salon series in New York in 2011 that used the phenomenon of Birthright Israel to raise questions about nationality and heritage, as well as the politics of tourism and branding. Yahalomi will discuss how she as an Israeli artist worked within the boycott guidelines to address Palestinian and Israeli national identity. 

Itay Mautner: The Jerusalem Season of Culture
The Jerusalem Season of Culture is an independent interdisciplinary cultural initiative that attempts to tell the complex story of Jerusalem through art and culture. Mautner will look at a few manifestations of the boycott through both an international lens and a local one affecting east and west Jerusalem. 

Shir Alon: Academic Boycott
Alon is a Hebrew-Arabic translator writing her Ph.D. dissertation on Arabic literature. She will speak on the recent academic boycott vote at her university, UCLA, and her involvement as a Jewish Israeli scholar in surrounding debates.
