Welcome to Halas – An ongoing sound installation.
Halas comprises programs, interviews, mixes, and the live broadcasting of concerts and sound performances, just like a radio station. Yet, it doesn’t have a regular schedule; Rather, the playlist is randomly selected from the site’s database, and the live broadcasts are scheduled according to the time and date of the broadcasted events.
The Halas Archive: Alongside the broadcasted playlist, the Halas archive is accessible to all listeners, who can choose what to listen to and when.
The Halas Blog: Music and Sound related posts are posted daily. The posts are written by Israeli and international artist, musicians, and sound designers, and they vary from essays and articles to music, sound and video art reviews and recommendations.
The Halas Sound Effect Library: The library consists of original, high quality sound effects, that can be downloaded and used free of charged. The library is constantly expanding and growing. In the case that you need a specific sound effect, but cannot find it in the library, you are welcome to write to us and we will do our best to upload it as quickly as possible.
The Halas Studio: The Studio is situated at the Israeli Digital Art Lab in Holon. It is a modular studio, that can be modified to accommodate the various recording needs of programs, concerts, jam sessions and live broadcasts
